Collection: Japanese Ukiyo-e Prints

This collection of Japanese prints comes from the US Library of Congress. Ukiyo-e roughly translates to, "Pictures of the floating (or sorrowful) world."
Yokomama-e is simply, "Pictures of Yokohama." The were often woodblock prints or ink drawings, from a rich and dynamic period in Japanese history. Enjoy!
